Today, March 8th, alegria-activity joins to the opportunity to remember the motto of this year 2021, “Because of being women”, which shows the long way left to be traveled to end with gender inequality.
Today #8M we want to commemorate each and every one of those initiatives focused on actively fighting for the principle of equality in all public and private spheres, preventing gender violence, protecting and assisting victims and creating tools to achieve real and effective equality by means of active public awareness
For years, several Spanish institutions such as Emakunde, the Basque Institute for Women, the Extremadura’s Women Institute or the Department of Equality of the Regional Government of Castilla y León, among others, have relied on alegria-activity to launch Gender Equality awareness campaigns oriented to different target population.
