Coris Bank International.
92% of Burkina Faso's population work in agriculture, meaning there is a large rural society that live far from the towns and cities. The traders, farmers and artisans who live in these areas do not have access to banking services. For this reason, in January 2014 one of Burkina Faso's most prestigious banking institutions launched a mobile bank that could reach even the most remote parts of the country.
The mobile bank is equipped with 50 square metres, it has an ATM machine, five personal banker meeting booths, as well as all the necessary technology, such as satellite communication to allow it to operate pretty much as a traditional branch would. At the Coris Bank International mobile agency, the same transactions that could be made at the capital Ouagadougou can also be made there. The team of staff comprise of an agency manager, tellers, personal banker, commercial agent and security staff.
