Google - France
All SMEs and self-employed French professionals have their own website. This was the aim of the campaign "Take a break" ("Mon enterprise en ligne" in French) sponsored by Google search engine, the telecommunications company SFR and the the web portal creator Oxatis.
But, the question was, how to get such busy people to devote a few minutes to the initiative? The answer was going to where they are. A mobile unit toured the business centers and business districts of 11 cities in France for 3 weeks. While having a relaxing cup of coffee with access to a computer they learned how to buy a domain, create their own website and promote it using Google. In short, they opened the Internet window, got new customers and thus increased sales.
The campaign was completed with the web www.meel.fr and RTL radio coverage as official media campaign.
